Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, Matthias Hähnle worked in his parents' mechanical engineering company and assumed responsibility early on.
He studied mechanical engineering at the Technische Hochschule Darmstadt and at the Technical University of Munich.
From 1996 to 2003, the young scientist researched in the field of robotics at the German Aerospace Center e.V. (DLR). At the globally recognized Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, Matthias Hähnle acquired extensive experience in the development and production of complex mechatronic systems. He was responsible for the development of the mechanics and sensors in the DLR lightweight robot and led the construction team to success in two lightweight robot projects.
In 2003, as co-founder of SENSODRIVE GmbH, he laid the foundations for an innovative company, which he manages together with Norbert Sporer. His cooperative style of leadership motivates the employees and promotes their sense of responsibility.
