STAMAS Workshop, CarlosIII University of Madrid, Spain

The aim of the STAMAS FP7-EU project is to create an innovative exo-skeleton for astronauts to improve exercising activities inside the spacecraft and to assist the astronauts during extra-vehicular activities.

Sensodrive is responsible for developing required sensors for position and force, control concepts and human-machine interfaces. Furthermore an intelligent data glove has been developed to support astronauts on extra vehicular activities.

Together with the project partners Sensodrive has built a highly compact drive that is based on shape memory alloys. By means of the integrated sensor technology it can be operated position as well as force controlled.

The presentations at the workshop and group discussions from all the development partners allows a deeper insight into the project.

If you are interested in attending the workshop, you are kindly requested to send an email to the organizer Marcelo Collado.
